wow great post :) I don’t really ever use fireworks, even though I do have it in my collection, it is only ever used if someone sends me a file in this format, thats it :) but its been nice reading and learning more about it, thanks

You are right — maybe the article could be updated? (I know it’s a bit old list, but that’s the fun with Web — you can edit and improve the content at any time.)

On a //sideline, I think that the useful extensions for Fireworks, which make it more powerful, are much more than 75… so maybe a new list could be created? :-)

Is Fw better than Ps, btw?

Yes, Fireworks is better than Ps, but for screen/Web design only! Fireworks was initially designed for Web & screen, so that’s why it is very good at that!

Ps was designed to edit photos and bitmaps.

Fw excels with vectors. Ps suxxz with vectors. And when you do Web design, vectors is what you most need! :)

So for me, as a Web designer, Fireworks is much better.

Fireworks is excellent for web work, especially slicing images. Plus it works on Vista. Not that I like vista I just got shoved that direction. Now fireworks on Linux, that would be cool!
