New Twitter Design for Speckyboy – Anyone got any tips?

Topics]Web AppsAuthor]

We have just uploaded a new background to our Twitter page, it is a rough draft, and were looking for a little feedback from our readers and from some Twitter experts.
We were looking for something minimal and distinctive, using the similiar styling to the site.

    Hi!

As a feedback i think that the logo is to big raported at the other page elements, and it’s in conflict with the avatar that repet the eye theme

I actually think it looks pretty good. Simplicity is the key sometimes and not a bunch of “crap” going on. At least you didn’t use some sort of grunge type style like just about everyone else is doing these days. Nice work, in my own opinion.

Twitter background looks good. Its doing exactly what you aim it to do. Perhaps I would make your Web address stand out more, the blue on blue isn’t quite working but then again, its not click-able and people would click on your right hand side to visit your website. This is a great place to try out your Twitter background http://twtbg.me/ and for anyone designing a background in Photoshop this is useful http://planetozh.com/blog/2009/03/pixel-perfect-background-photoshop-template-for-twitter/
Please note I am not affiliated with these sites but found them the most useful.

I think it looks very minimal, cool. Helps with branding that it is similar, but I do agree with moby that the layout and avatar look a bit redundant.

On the other side of that though is the fact that you would like your avatar to make you easily identifiable to people who are following you and may not physically visit your twitter page.

    Overall it’s very “Specky” :D

Looks clean and simple.. but the logo might be offensive to some ladies I think.

Looks good nice integration with Twitter Header

I would personally reduce the sizing of the “bo” logo but only minimally…
