For this weeks competition we have five SlideDeck2 single-site licenses (worth $79 each) to giveaway. Just in case you didn’t know, SlideDeck 2 is a WP plugin that comes with loads of awesome features designed that brings the content slider up-to-date with the needs of the modern web.

    I’m busy with my first WordPress blog, if I had known it is actually quite flexible I would have started sooner! To my surprise I’m actually enjoying developing it… I currently have a boring banner fade, and this SlideDeck would definitely liven it up!

     I checked the demo. Very functional plug-in for WordPress. Lots of options and an impressive panel of admin. Use this plugin to display the latest news articles or popular articles.

      Yep, the dynamic nature of it makes it great for keeping site visitors up-to-date. We love using it with big blogs that have a lot of breaking news, like The Verge or Engadget.

    Oh wow.  I’ve still got my Slidedeck 1 running on a site, but with Slidedeck 2, I’d drop it onto a website that I’m doing pro-bono for a non-profit housing organization called Matthew 25 (http://www.matt25.org).  Matthew 25 provides housing assistance for low income families in Massachusetts, by purchasing dilapidated and run down properties, renovating them using mostly volunteer efforts from local schools, colleges, and other organizations.  The org has about 15 properties now and has plans to purchase another property soon and rehab it.  I’ve been blessed to work on the project, but would love to have a more functional content slider for them to use.
