Overall this weeks web design selection is pretty strong, with a healthy mix of CSS and Flash, especially within the clean and minimal web design style. A great example of which is One by Four, with its simple logo, its basic layout and its clever use of color, it all merges together perfectly.
Take a moment and have a look at each Lego building and monument below, and then take a step back and think about this: How did they do it? The sheer size, precise detail and the in-depth planning of each creation is mind blowing. This is Lego architecture at its best, when Lego ceases to be a simple kids toy and becomes a modern day sculpture.

Digital light painting is the technique that can turn a dull image into an amazing and vibrant work of art that conveys a sense of movement and energy. This effect nearly always works well on subjects that are stationary or static but can be very difficult to produce on animated subjects such as people. It does take a very skilled hand to digitally paint a person with light, this is were Tony Ariawan comes in and excels.
There has been a vast improvement on new web design launches this week, what a difference a week makes. The major stand outs for me have been Hello from Carsonified and the Design is Kinky Studio, CSS and Flash design at its best.

Visual illustrators, in the past, were never ever mentioned in the same breath as traditional or fine artists, and they have consistently came second best in comparison with traditional graphic designers. Times have changed, and the exciting and fresh art of illustration is now firmly recognized as an art, and is gaining constant popularity, especially with young, adventurous and creative artists.

Lets be honest, high quality work and reasonable pricing do not always speak for its self, but professionalism always does. That is what a client is looking for, someone they can rely on, trust and ultimately deliver the project they require. That is what your business card must reflect.
