Speckyboy Design Magazine launched in October 2007, as the personal freelance web design homepage of Paul Andrew. Somewhere over the consequent months we dramatically changed direction, and evolved into the design resource magazine that you see today.
We offer insightful tutorial, time-saving techniques, fresh and useful resources and inspirational art, covering web design and development, graphic design, advertising, mobile development and we even have a soft spot for the occasional Lego post. We really love to showcase the best and most innovative web design styles, keep you up to date with the latest in current design trends and highlight the latest in web technologies… You’ll love us :)
Who are the people behind Speckyboy?
Paul Andrew (Chief Editor)
Paul is the founder and chief editor of Speckyboy Design Magazine. He has many years experience within the web design industry and has a passion for the latest web technologies, current design trends, and loves fresh tools and resources. He is based in the small town of Inverness in the north of Scotland.

Andy Killen (CTO)
Andy is our Chief Technical Officer, he has been working with technology since 1989, and exclusively with the Web since 1994. He has held positions in global, multi-national and national companies in IT departments and has had such job titles as EMEA Internet Engineer, IT Manager, CTO and Server Support Specialist. His favourite previous employer is still Intel, many years after leaving them to find greener pastures in the City of London.
Andy excels in server configurations, firewalls and security, coding for both front & back-end,infrastructure architecture and working with WordPress. Currently, Andy runs his own company Phat Reaction which is based in Amsterdam, which is lucky enough to have clients from all over the planet.
