Today we have another fantastic book giveaway for you. We have two copies of the paperback book PhoneGap Beginner’s Guide, written by Andrew Lunny for two lucky readers. All you have to do for a chance of winning one of these books is leave a comment below telling us why you would like or need this book.

About the Book: PhoneGap Beginner’s Guide

PhoneGap Beginners GuidePhoneGap Beginner’s Guide will show you how to use the PhoneGap mobile development framework to target multiple mobile platforms: iOS, Android, BlackBerry, and more with a single application. With PhoneGap, you can use existing web development skills, instead of learning a new environment for every platform on the market.
This book will escalate you from being a novice at mobile development to writing complex applications that target multiple platforms, through learning the APIs and development process of the PhoneGap framework.

You will learn how to manage a code base that targets multiple mobile platforms; how to use new HTML5 and CSS3 APIs to create rich, responsive user interfaces; and how to use the PhoneGap APIs to integrate with native functionality such as device sensors, contacts, and cameras.

    I need this book because I have to write a complex application for iPhone and iPad that already exists only as a web site. Rebuild is a big work. Reuse is convenient, already tested and approved.

    I’m a freelance web designer from Italy. When the app store was launched my dream was to was to develop applications for this platform, but I found the iOS sdk hard to understand for a programming newcomer like me. When I heard that a bridge was released for the iOS sdk and that was accepted from Apple one year ago, I started using this platform and loving it. I made a simple game and a calculator, but I didn’t manage to finish because of the lack of compatibility from slower devices like mine. Now with the newer phones I’m ready to start working again, and I’m sure this book will brush up my phonegap knowledge and also it will introduce me to the newer features in iOS4 and iOS5.
