Rocket.net is a managed WordPress host built around performance, security, and simple site management. It handles caching, CDN delivery, security, backups, and much of the server work without requiring extra WordPress plugins.
Every managed hosting plan includes an enterprise CDN, web application firewall, malware protection, daily backups, staging, SSL, and free migrations. Developers also get SSH, SFTP, WP CLI, database access, and file management through the Rocket.net control panel.
Rocket.net costs more than budget WordPress hosting, but the plans include tools and security services that can cost extra elsewhere. There are also no higher renewal rates, which makes the long term cost easier to work out.

Rocket.net for WordPress Developers
Rocket.net provides the main tools needed for regular WordPress development. SSH and WP CLI are available through key based access, while SFTP, phpMyAdmin, staging, and a browser based file manager cover common development jobs.
The staging system can clone a WordPress site with one click, giving developers a separate environment for testing themes, plugins, code changes, and configuration changes. Sites can then be managed through Rocket.net’s control panel without adding separate management plugins.
Rocket.net Performance and Security
Performance and security are handled close to the network edge rather than relying only on WordPress plugins. Every managed plan includes an enterprise CDN, full page caching, a web application firewall, malware protection, and DDoS protection.
This approach reduces the amount of work handled by the WordPress server and can also reduce the number of performance and security plugins needed on the site. All four managed plans currently include unlimited PHP workers and unmetered visitors, although storage and bandwidth still have plan limits.
Rocket.net WordPress Hosting Pricing
Rocket.net has four standard managed hosting plans. Monthly pricing does not increase when the plan renews. Annual billing gives two months at no extra cost, reducing the effective monthly rate. New accounts currently receive the first month for $1.
| Plan | Monthly | Annual | Sites | Storage | Bandwidth |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $30/mo | $25/mo | 1 | 10GB | 50GB |
| Pro | $60/mo | $50/mo | 3 | 20GB | 100GB |
| Business | $100/mo | $83/mo | 10 | 40GB | 300GB |
| Expert | $200/mo | $166/mo | 25 | 50GB | 500GB |
USD pricing checked August 2026. Annual figures show the effective monthly rate when paid yearly. Rocket.net states that standard renewal prices do not increase.
What We Like and Don’t Like
What we like: Enterprise CDN and caching, strong security controls, 30 days of daily backups, staging, unlimited migrations, SSH, SFTP, WP CLI, unlimited PHP workers, unmetered visitors, and no higher renewal rates.
What we don’t like: The $30 monthly starting price is higher than many WordPress hosts, and storage allowances are relatively small. Bandwidth is also limited even though visitor numbers are unmetered.
Who Is Rocket.net Best For?
Rocket.net works well for established blogs, business sites, WooCommerce stores, and agencies where performance and security matter more than getting the lowest monthly price. Much of the caching and security work is handled outside WordPress, which can also reduce the number of plugins needed.
Smaller sites may not need everything included with the platform. But sites with an international audience or regular traffic spikes may get more value from its CDN, caching, security, and unmetered visitor model.
