Free WordPress Theme (The Dark Hut)

This theme has been a change for me, I went for a darker look. I kept to my usual style of using a minimal amount of images, in this case images for the logo and RSS buttons only, and relied upon css styling, maintaining my philosophy of keeping it simple. Like all my themes these were designed with the web designer in mind, something simple to edit and change.

Please Note: This WordPress theme is really old (2007!), will not be updated and is really not worth your attention.

Perhaps you would be best served browsing our extensive WordPress Category

The theme has a white content area making legibilty easy and keeping the focus on content, the sidebar is darker and slightly larger than the norm, hopefully making easy navigation, and for those who love big footers there are four columns in the footer.

As with all my themes, if your looking to learn about WordPress Theme Design, this would be another perfect design to start with.

Screenshot and Details

Dark Hut ScreenshotThis theme has two columns and four footer columns, the header contains only the logo and RSS buttons, the sidebar is as always (and should be) widget friendly.

The social bookmarks within the post-info area are no longer hard coded into the theme, I have used a plugin called Social Bookmark Creator. Easy to config, with a minmal style.

It has been tested on Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox and Opera, and displays great.

Tested on WP 1.5 upto WP 2.3.

Within in the download package there are .psd files for the logo.
