Distil Ennui” Definition:
To extract the essence and beauty of life to appease world weariness.

distilennui.comAll of the images below and on there portfolio site distilennui.com are always presented ‘as shot‘ without cropping or post production of any kind. This allows the images to flow and connect to each other with a sense of grace and simplicity. Rather than appearing precious and overly concerned with aesthetics, the images more evidently describe a life and eye made behind the camera.

With many of the images, subjects appear floating in a black space that neither interferes nor disrupts the subject matter. In fact the collaboration within this void offers a serene and dreamlike sensation with images broken into positive and negative spaces. Images that do suggest cultural and social issues do so in a way that is not forceful or aggressive, but more open to you, the viewers own interpretation.

Life can be described as being like a constant stream of images, they pass us by like towns on a highway. But sometimes a moment stuns us as it happens and we know this instant is more than just a fleeting image, we know that this moment every part of it will live on forever.

That is the feeling they have when shooting photographs.

The images below are merely the tip of the iceberg, vist there site to view more beautiful photography: distilennui.com.

Panoramic Shots

Alex & Cocco are well know for there panoramic shots. They shoot in a very unusual way with some amazing gear with very long exposures with native file sizes reaching up to 3gb in size – the close up detail is incredible as there clients like to print them in scales that are measured in meters, crazy stuff.

The ship in the water is my favorite. There is something very pleasing about it.

Wow. These photos are all magnificent.

By the way, under “Panoramic Shots” second line, third last word, its supposed to be “their” not “there”….

PS: did I mention the photos look magnificent?
