The easiest way to create an image gallery within Wordpress is by using the add feature (from WP 2.5+), but to give your gallery something extra you may wish to add the Lightbox effect. Description : This is Wordpress’s version of the jQuery Lightbox Plugin written by Balupton, the effect keeps with the traditional lightbox effect (simple overlay), it does not offer many frills, but just like Lightbox2 above, it is simple to use and implement.

Picasa LightBox WP Plugin

But most of that plugins (I think almost 8 of the 10) are made width jquery lightbox plugin…they are very similar…

I have recently developed a WordPress plugin for FancyBox.
It’s jQuery based, works exactly the same as the original however you can define some of the variables from an admin panel.

I am trying to figure out what plugin for the main image on this page is…

I looked through the javascript and they do have lightbox installed. I want to create a header just like this one, with the clickable links to take to the next image like on a lot of sites… Any ideas?

Hey, same problem overhere with 2.8.4 none of the lightbox plugins seems to work, or if they do work some options on your theme doens’t work as it should be.

I’m running wordpress 2.8.6 and I used the jQuery Lightbox For Native Galleries for this new site I built in wordpress: http://hudsonvalleybarnhouse.com. It seems to be working great so far. If you’re having issues with these plugins, try upgrading your version of wordpress.
