This competition will be live for the next seven days (ending on the 6th of November 2011).

How to Enter

All you have to do for a chance of winning one of these fantastic themes is leave a comment below telling us which of the two WP themes above is your favorite and why. The competition will be live for the next seven days (ending on the 6th of November 2011) with the winners chosen completely at random. The winners will be contacted via email within a couple of days of the competition ending.

    I prefer the Hybrid to the Fluid because its mobile design is better. The search input field is accessible in the Hybrid; and I think the slideshow on the mobile homepage for the Fluid design is rather unnecessary. I tend to favour lightweight and simple designs.

    @speckyboy: You have used the same image for the two themes in your blog post above though.

    I quite like Fluid. It doesn’t instantly strike me as something I have seen on lots of sites before. All of the content is given plenty of space to breathe which really makes each individual element stand out. This lets me concentrate on what I am looking at and not what’s in the corner of my eye so to sum up it looks absolutely mint.

    Very cool prize, count me in! I think the Hybrid version would work best as it makes for a very clean layout that also takes into account the screen real estate visible on smartphones and pads etc. Very nicely done.

    I think I will go will Fluid, mainly because I am a fan of fluid design. Certainly if  I was going to buy one it would be fluid, although Hybrid is also an excellent theme. It’s great to see some very technical designs and I think WordPress theme developers should all follow the lead set by these top premium themes.

    Hybrid is my favourite as it is very clear, light and simple so it won’t distract from the content. All other features seem to be basically the same in the two themes so decision is simply due to look.

    Hybrid is my favorite, it’s simple, elegant, everything seems to be in the right place and it has a blog format, which is rare these days! I quite tired of magazines style themes and its boring slides.

    Both the above themes are very good. But Hybrid seems more multiple device friendly. I have checked the hybrid theme look on Tablet as well as my on my mobile. Much happier with Hybrid theme. :)

    well – both themes are a bit too plain than most premium wordpress themes found these days, but I’ll have to go with Fluid theme because its perfect for a portfolio website like I want it to be. Not much to offer, but not poor either. Its simple yet professional. I like it…I want it! :P

    I really like the Fluid theme. It just seems more elegant and clean. The Hybrid theme just feels like a normal blog theme and its pretty boring if you ask me. Fluid is just so pretty and more classy. I’d be down to buy Fluid if I could.

    I ilke fluid. It is good compromise between minmalistic (typographic) approach to webdesign and role of graphic in communication. We can say one picture for thousand words – one word for thousand pictures. This is how i would describe Fluid… and of course it is responsive to new devices. I like it!

    Congratulations ThemeFit!  You seem to have mastered the responsive theme technology.  I especially like the way the header elements collapse and expand between the tablet size and mobile size. Well done!  I personally prefer the Hybrid theme because I’m planning to do some more newsy / textual / technical work in the near future and don’t need the gallery/portfolio space as much.

    Fluid works best for me. I find it more robust in terms of flexibility and more customizable. The design itself is also better as it is elegant and clean.

    Although I like the boldness of Hybrid, especially the menu bar, I feel the user needs to work too hard to discern the different sections and their purpose.  Fluid is much easier to read.  It’s obvious what’s important, without a lot of distraction or confusion.  Nice use of whitespace and a clean, minimal theme.

    I like how thoroughly responsive the Fluid template is. It is genuinely customized for mobile browsing. But I wish the demos had videos in them. I plan to use this primarily for a video site, and I want to see how videos behave in the demo (Can you play them in the thumbnail view? Does it automatically load the H264 version of YouTube and Vimeo videos when you’re on iOS device?) Anyone had experience with this or know another responsive video-oriented template? Thanks!

    I have not heard before about ThemeFit. I’m a fan of minimalism and magazine templates. That is why I choose the Hybrid Theme.

    I like the look of hybrid the best – tried a few responsive themes ( I like skeleton the best at the moment ) but they all seem to be lacking a good finish, which I would design if I had time, but Hybrid looks perfect, especially when mobilised

    While Hybrid is a clean, functional, classic-style theme, Fluid has the Wow factor, which is where design should ultimately take us. As an amateur blogger I have spent literally hundreds of hours looking at themes. While there are many nicely designed, “competent” themes, the better ones stand out because they achieve an important goal–the design itself causes a shift in the viewer’s brain, awakening their creativity and critical thinking. That shift moves them from passive visitor to engaged viewer, waking them from the stupor induced by information overload and defensive passivity. Ultimately, as bloggers, that is what we want–themes that speak to our reader’s minds in the subtle ways that only art–and good design is art no matter the media–can achieve.  For bloggers wanting to create a memorable, “fine art” experience for their readers, Fluid is perfect.

    Love the look of Hybrid. I’ve just been looking for a clean responsive minimal theme I can configure for my personal blog, and after a good few hours and many themes the one I’ve decided I want is Hybrid. Great layout, lots of options, beautifully clean & lean design, flickr widget – everything I’m looking for. In fact I was just about to buy it when I saw this competition on @themefit:twitter . So, if I don’t win I’ll probably get it anyway (though it would be nice to get it for free!)

    Both themes look really nice. I like Fluid a little bit better because it looks slightly more tidy or less cluttered. But I’m not sure ift this is more depending on the different demo content. Anyway cool are both.

    They’re both beautiful templates, making it very hard to pick which is better. I do have to say that there are some personal preferences that make me lean towards the Hybrid over the Fluid. Both though look to be great starters for amazing websites. I do have to say Hybrid though because of its color scheme already matching things I need. Its elegant, professional and very clean looking!
