The Winter Hut (WordPress Theme)

This WordPress theme is based on my previous design called ‘The Blog Hut’, I basically re-coded Blog Hut from head to toe, keeping the original look and layout.

My main objective was to clean up the css & xhtml and make it a little more user friendly, I also set myself the target of using a single graphic (which I used for the header) and to sort out the footer (navigation) area, giving a decent navigation. I’m reasonably happy with the result (always thinking of improving).
This will be, time permitting, be the first of four seasonal themes called Winter Hut, Summer Hut, Spring Hut & Autumn Hut. The entire package will be called, obviosly, The Four Seasons.

Screenshot & Details

ScreenshotThe theme has two columns and is widget friendly, a dark grey background, darker header, sidebar and footer with a white content area. The result is stylish and clean.

The Page Navigation has an original style, it is the full length of theme, it is just below the header.

The social bookmark bar has been hard coded into the theme, these can be edited in ‘header.php’.

It has been tested on Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox and Opera, and displays great.
Tested on WP 1.5 (does anyone still use this) upto WP 2.3.

Download The Winter Hut.
