Take a moment and have a look at each Lego building and monument below, and then take a step back and think about this: How did they do it? The sheer size, precise detail and the in-depth planning of each creation is mind blowing. This is Lego architecture at its best, when Lego ceases to be a simple kids toy and becomes a modern day sculpture.
In this post we have collected our favorite Lego buildings and monuments from around the World, built by Lego professionals and passionate aficionados. You will find the obvious buildings, like the Eiffel Tower and the Statue of Liberty to lesser known buildings, like the Tower of Belém (our favorite) and the Dome of the Rock. We are sure you will all agree, these buildings are amazing.
For this article to be fully complete we need more buildings from South America, Australia and especially Africa. If anyone knows of any Lego creations from these continents, send us an email here: Contact.

I am the exact same, I start playing Lego with the kids and I won’t stop until I have finished the model. By that time the kids have wondered off, very bored!

The model labeled Westminster Abbey is actually the british parliament building.

What you claim to be Westmisnter Abbey is actually The Houses of Parliament (or the Westminster Palace as it is less commonly known).

    Nice models.

    Tom’s right about Westminster Palace.

Another correction – it should read St Peter’s Basilica’. St Peter’s is not a cathedral.

Also, neither the photo nor the lego masterpiece in Russia is the Kremlin. The lego bit looks to be St. Basil’s cathedral, in the Red Square (next to the Kremlin) and the photo is of the history museum, at the other end of the red square.

okay, i know there’s a million things more important and this is really cool and all but the photos you have for the LEGO and original “Kremlin” are neither: The photo of the LEGO building is of St. Vasily’s Cathedral and the other building is the State Historical Museum. Neither of these are part of the Kremlin. Still, loved the photos, especially the Acropolis

Geographically speaking Mexico is in North America. That’s for sure.
Culturally and Economically speaking you may think is Central or South America, but is not.

    Israel in Asia?

Also the Westminster Abbey one is wrong – the model’s of The Palace of Westminster, otherwise known as the UK Houses of Parliament – completey different building as Big Ben is not stuck on the side of the Abbey. Otherwise all cool.

Another correction, what you’ve labelled as ‘Big Ben’ is actually the Westminster Clock Tower. Big ben is the name of the bell that strikes the hours.
