The Vespa, with its typically Italian elegant design, is a timeless design icon. For over sixty years now, Vespa has been building many models of its low running cost scooter using the same design basis as its original. They know it, we know it, Vespas look cool and are cool.

Maybe its just me, when you add type to wallpapers it seems to bring a certain level of sophistication and elegance to your desktop.
These beautifully designed wallpapers are not solely about typography, they cover a wide array of styles with elements of typography mixed in, the effect is impressive.

Creator and inventor Paul Loughridge (pronounced ‘Lok-rij’) from Lockwasher Design, describes his robots as being created from everyday trash, but they are so, so much more.
Built from raw materials, his creations are amazingly choc-full of character, and when brought to life have a retro feel that will have fans of B-Movies from yesteryear and of pulp science-fiction TV shows salivating.

All your favorite and classic movies recreated by a bunch of creative stop-motion movie directors, and in some cases improving the original. And to make things even better, all the characters and most set designs have been made with Lego. Some of the movie scenes are completely original, others recreate perfectly famous scenes and others are recreations of the original trailer. Hope you enjoy them.

Flash design is being used less and less within web design nowadays, ads and games aside. We all know how about its down sides, and everyone certainly hates the “Click here to open in Full Screen” links that are, fortunately, not being used as much as in years gone by. There are many theories to what constitutes good typography, its not as simple as choosing an appropriate font and setting it in the style of a particular project, that would be too easy. Theories and tutorials are one thing, putting typography into perfect practice is another, and is perhaps the hardest part of any design. Every designer you ask will give you a different answer to what constitutes good type, where is the benchmark?

Wee Planets, Tiny Planets or the Polar Panorama effect, whatever name you prefer, is the technique of taking a 360° panorama image and using Photoshop (or any other decent image editor) and creating a circular or round image that wrap the panorama around to make it appear like a tiny/wee planet.
