No doubt you guys would have realised by now that we really do love comic book superheroes, particularly Marvel characters. And we just love it when designers and artists share our passion and create their own unique interprtation of each superheroes, just like the GIF animated Pixelomics of Dusan Cezek, or the Flat Design Superheroes series from Jeffrey Rau, we love them all. And we hope you do as well.
So when the work of artist Mike Mitchell crossed our paths a few weeks, we knew we had to share them with you. Mike, in conjunction with Austin’s Mondo Gallery, has created an inspiring series of 50 Marvel character portraits. Describing the portraits, he said: “My intention with this show was to take those characters out of their action-oriented world and give them a moment of silence to catch their breath. There’s a humanizing quality to that which I find extremely interesting.”
