Reading the headline on Digg, I was curious to see what style of theme this site would have. Glad to see you practice what you preach. Though I guess there is no getting around the footer bloat that is so popular these days.

These themes are nice, but minimal can mean more than just “white background”.
A good example is this theme: http://demos.jeremybuff.com/conservative/ , minimal as far as posts/pages/sidebar, but with a dynamic background.

I am a WordPress theme designer but my themes do not fall under the minimal category. They are mostly stylish though. Hope you’ll create another post featuring image-rich themes so my themes might get a chance to get listed :)

LOL!…
Half your website was still loading while i was reading the post. I’m on 20mb cable…
Perhaps you might want to revise your statement to indicate is doesn’t necessarily refer to this site…
You talk about minimal, yet have more going on this page alone then half the sites i visit…

Thank god someone put together one of these. All the places I check have complex themes with 300 columns, widgets, section, etc. I really like simple layouts and these are great!

Minimalism always impresses. Serenity, seriousness, usability – minimalism always scores high on these grounds. It’s a beautiful collection here, although a bit repetitive. One must not overlook the importance of using appropriate typography for a really lasting impression.

These themes are beautiful. However I am super new to this, and I have some questions. I actually wanted a wordpress.com blog, but I understand that I cannot upload themes to it. Where/how can I use these themes? Do I need a different blog provider? Is there a tutorial available to help me out?
